I still remember Bloc Partys' last album. It was pretty good, exciting in places. If this is meant as an indication of the second record then the signs aren't good. All the excitement is gone and they're straining to get some emotion in. God, it could almost be off one of U2's later albums, and that's not good! I haven't heard the album yet, but on the basis of this, I'm no longer in a hurry to. Having said all that though it's quite chart friendly, I just expected more. 3/5 John Lappin
