Good Times

"The band are: Jimmy, Luke, Dan and Kieran- a drummer who they found by chance when they randomly asked in a pub for a drummer's number. The band has many different influences ranging from Morrissey to Bloc Party then back to The Jam. They offer a fresh indie/punk sound and unlike your average myspace band, they can play their instruments."

Noise Makes Enemies: "Already making a name for themselves in the trendiest of London indie haunts, do not be surprised to see The Goodtimes becoming the darlings of the festival tents, quality late night radio DJs, North London pubs and probably some sweeping, grandiose NME statements before too long!"

BBC: "Like The Jam meeting The Rakes down in a tube station at midnight. Indie
punk with plenty of charm. Never mind the bollocks, here's The Goodtimes!
And these boys mean business!"

"A shining light ... euphoric and poptastic ... definitely one to look out for" - Scootering 2006

"The Brights simply smile through jaunty jingle" "retro cool" - Don Blandford - Essex Chronicle 2005

"The Brights play breezy, summery pop that makes you smile. Witty, intelligent lyrics and a jingly, janglyness not seen in a long, long time (not since C86)" - Bitterscene 2003

"The Brights are the Chelmsford dandies" - Borderline 2004

They come from the same places as The Kinks, The Jam, The Smiths, The Stone Roses, Suede and Gene

Ja Ja Wunderbar

In 2006, during a science lesson about spontaneous combustion the five of us were formed into a band, and with the use of Greensparkes' german skills, we were able to fabricate the name that is, ja ja wunderbar. Our band works using two guitars, a bass, a keyboard and drums. Please enjoy xxx

The Arcadia Party Program

The Arcadia Party Program was formed in the Autumn of 2005, where two genius brainchilds fed up of the repeated music scene set out to produce a fresh style inspired by the soundtracks and medleys of the 80s arcade/video games they played as kids.

. VINNY VINNY

Vinny Vinny are the ace face in the UK Indie/soul movement. The fresh rediscovery of soul music as a young person’s pursuit is spreading across the country like an oil slick wave of All-Nighter’s. Evenings filled with High energy dancing sparked off by music which captures both melody and fast tempo grooves, is converting the mindset of audiences everywhere. Vinny Vinny are running the show with tunes like ‘Broke up the Family’ and ‘Kimmi Kimmi’. Just a year on since their forming and these boys sit as the Godfathers of today’s Indie/Soul frenzy. The sound of 'Mick Jagger gettin blown by Aretha Franklin is created by Rick (Vocals / Guitar) Mitch (Drums / Vocal) Dan (Guitar / Vocals) and Luke (Bass). These four school mates got so disenchanted by the lack of good nights out in their surrounding area, that they started hiring out the clubs of Southend and Chelmsford to put on their aptly named ‘Filthy Soul’ club nights. Between them they managed a great record box full of legends as well as unsung heroes from various soul movements. The tunes held audiences on the dancefloor all night and was enough to sell out an otherwise shit venue. These attempts to reinvent the positive social atmospheres from the 70’s All-Nighter’s were so inspiring that there was no choice but to start a band and create music which held the same core values. When seeing the band for the first time, audiences are always impressed by the fact that these boys are clearly not here to impersonate the dress sense or persona of the sixties and seventies Soul and Northern Soul movements. These four old friends are what they are, lads who meet down the pub every weekend to seat up their card school to win enough money for tickets to the next day’s Prem game. The overriding honesty in the intensions of the music, their personalities on and off stage, and their ambitions to make the big time by being the flagship for Indie/Soul, is what’s so appealing about this band. They would love it if you could join in and support them all the way by turning up and being part of this exciting new movement.

Blackmarket

Back in the day when we rode our bikes in packs of 7 and wore our coats by only the hoods, we would leave the house at day break and not return until the sun had completely vanished, 6 weeks seemed like 6 years, and friendship was the greatest thing on earth, we would graze our knees, but ride all day, swing from trees that pathed our way, hope, chance, faith, not even thought about, for young minds so fresh and alert, when boxes were non-existant to think in, showing off to the girl with only your cap to sink in, free and running, the fields that we spun in, our chrome metal shone from the moonlight and nerves forever high touching summer skylines, ‘we ain’t coming down, not tonight’, across town where the racquet boys stir trouble, down alleyways, another dirty handshake, in car parks they gather to show medals of paint, kids huddle round and are told to leave by jimmy the saint, a girl left staring into space thinking ‘is this it?’ for she knows only her proud mans pleasure she is cradling, to scared to run free for life, she takes one final look behind her, a silhouette slowly fades into the air, her fate laid out ahead, her grip on hope slips without a care, in a nearby bus stop, champagne fuelled suits talk down to an old word minimalist, for his words, though less, mean more and cut the air like a knife, he mutters, ‘what are you really trying to say?’, upsetting sharpened teeth, his told to repeat, he shuffles from the seat and scurries off down the road, although never letting go he slowly loosens his hands on the rope, on the backstreets where two hearts beat, where no words have to meet to know what the other means, open windowed flats, the young speaker boom pulsating, one more drunken graduate alone and frustrated, lies on a nearby bench searching for his future that’s in the making, in a doorway mad lady lilly stands staring to the sky reminiscing of a past she lost, the cost? Lust, her shop boarded up with a sign ‘for sale’, she sits in her car watching, slowly trying to let go she reaches for her bag to find tissues to cry on, in a rage hits the gas pedal flooring, losing control the minimalist gets caught in the bowling ball sawing, the champagne bottles pop, but this glass is overloading, but its to late, two hearts skip a beat, the blaring horn floods the summer nights heat, a wave of anxiety hits the bench ridden Columbus feet, his panic jumps running, starts a snowball tumbling, crowds form and slowly break off one by one, hit by the last words of the old man that come, suits return to there wardrobes, the graduate sits at the old mans toes, the booming flat windows close, the fading silhouette appears once more to let the girl know, jimmy s clan burn there engines for one last throw, young love for the first time finally let go, and lilly’s left in a heap sitting on her own, all that’s left is those innocent kids on there rubber soled metal bones, as they pass the incident in the road, there faces light, drop a gear and carry on riding way into the night…………… !

0 . RED TRACK

Red Track formed in 2003 when Billy and Andy started jamming together in Bill’s bedroom.
Red Track are Andy Perry (20) drumming, Phil Blake (18) on bass  and vocals, Billy Wright (18) on guitar and lead vocals.
For three years Red Track have been writing, getting a dedicated and strong fan base in the Essex area, playing countless gigs. They have headlined most of the venues in Essex and have supported a number of “breaking bands” such as Jacksons Warehouse, White Rose Movement and The Guillimots.
In 2006 better things started happening for the band, which culminated in one of their songs, Pretty Boy (Brace Yourself) being chosen as track of the week by Steve Lamacq’s show “In New Music We Trust” on BBC Radio 1 in December.
In July the band played Guilfest, their first major festival. Here they supported The Stranglers, Billy Idol and The Guillimots. The band are writing for their first album. They have completed 18 songs, eight of which are definite with a few more still to work on.

The Campaign

Formed when the weather turned cold in December 2005 by the skinny tie rack in Topman. Brought together by a love of pop, punk, and new wave. Our plan was simple; to bring catchy pop songs back to the grey skies of Romford.

And so the Campaign begins........

LRRocKeTs

LRRocKeTs exude the kind of old school rock n roll campness that Phil Cornwell mimics perfectly as Mick Jagger on Stella Street. They're all rakish cravats and melodrama. 'Prank Caller' is I think their second single. It's in the same kind of vein as their debut 'London Girls' but there's less histrionics and more late 70s power pop perfection. It's like The Jags meets Roxy Music meets the Buzzcocks. Great vocals in the chorus too - deserves to be a big hit.

States Of Emotions

STATES OF EMOTIONS HAVE BEEN KICKED OUT OF MAGIC CITY.WE SHALL NEVER SURRENDER.

States of Emotions....... The band formed 4 years ago whilst at school togther in their much detested county Essex and have since slayed audiences with there explosive live shows and demos. Drawing influences from the likes of The Stone Roses,Suede,Oasis,Nirvana,Coldplay,Radiohead and Muse this band are an exciting new outfit, playing a new innovative style and sound often described as "British Epic" Over the past year since the recruitment of guitarist and long term friend Adam Harris, the band have already notched up main support slots with Captain, Been favoured and played by Xfm's Jon Kennedy plus notabal dates around the U.K including The Borderline,The ULU,Camden Underworld and a forthcoming show with Coca-Cola and I-Tunes at London Scala. Whilst the general public have been engrossed with strange phenomenons like nu-rave, the band have been hard at work in there Essex practice space and in and out of there studio haunt in Reading to produce demos that will in the future go on to become what the band hope to be a truly innovative, classic debut album.

The Shame

The Shame formed after meeting in a night club in the summer of 2004, It brought together James on Drums/vocals, David on Bass/vocals and Tony on Guitar/vocals. After that first meeting they had the first rehearsal, which spawned the first of their songs.
With a few more rehearsals under there belt, and some more songs, they set about recording the first E.P in the dining room of the David’s house.... The resulting self-made E.P was called "Gun, Good morning, Gun", which included old member Lee Frasier on vocals and keys. Next was their first live show of the band, playing there local Essex club, but soon after getting the gig, Lee Frasier left the band. Leaving them without a lead singer, but unwanting to cancel the show they decided to play as a three piece, with David and James taking the lead Vocals. After getting a really good reaction and confidence from the first show, they decided to stay a three piece. So The Shame went into the studio to record new songs for a demo, as a three piece. The Shame entitled there second E.P "Devils Hands Are Idle Playthings", at the well-renowned Studio Adelaide. One year passes, The Shame really try honing their live act and material. Deciding it was time for a full-length debut album to be made, and now that the band was living under the same roof, after weeks of recording demo tracks for the album in there living room, confidence was high that the material was ready. With all the demo album tracks recorded, the band thought that they should get in the studio and record there new song Six Shot Dead at a Zombie Party for Sublingual Records compilation CD. Thinking that the new song sounded so good recorded at studio 8-ball, with Producer Steve Weston, it resulted the band deciding to add the new track to the album listing and record the album at studio 8-ball
So in two days of studio time, they recorded 13 songs with special guest vocals from Mike and Neil from Engerica and Doozer and Logan from Get Girl, save the world. With the album recorded, The Shame embarked on a U.K Tour, playing the North of the country, mainly to push the first single from the album, Where Did You Go? (Now available from the Itunes music store!)
After a series of high-profile shows, at such venues as the 12-Bar Club, Denmark Street, The Garage, Highbury, The Shed, Leicester and many shows at The Hope and Anchor, Islington, The Shame have truly become “a live act to look out for."

The Full-length debut album is out now on Dual Records.

Load Click Shoot

We combined our love for eating crisps then playing guitar and what followed was the result- load.click.shoot! an angular yelping beast that convulses with 3 way vocals, mental guitars and a tumbling rhythm section! we spent last year doing the local circuit before finally breaking free from deepest darkest devon and clawing our way round the country rammed in a car or sleeping in a van!
